About Me

I specialize in supporting those who work in law enforcement, fire-fighting, military, medical, forensics, and security personnel. Having a personal knowledge of the Law Enforcement and Corrections field's unique cultures, I know the importance of being able to talk to someone who understands first-hand the challenges inherent in high stress roles. I have worked in residential and outpatient treatment facilities, secured facilities, in the law enforcement and corrections fields, crisis centers, and have experience working with trauma, burnout, self-esteem issues, boundary concerns, aggression, Severe Persistent Mental Illness, psychosis, co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, criminality, life transitions, grief, suicidality and self-injurious behaviors. I use a blend of approaches that are unique to each client to take into consideration your personality, background, goals, challenges, and strengths. Each journey is different and is uniquely tailored.

Education & Experience

I am a board approved Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am also a board approved clinical supervisor for LPCC, LPC, and LADC tracks. I have previously served on suicide prevention hotlines and Text4Life programs. I have volunteered in Restorative Justice programs as well as animal shelters. I have always had a passion for helping those who have found themselves feeling unseen, unheard, unacknowledged, overwhelmed or hopeless. Those who have had to develop a sense of having it all together and being "the strong one" out of necessity, and then subsequently not having someone to be strong for them when they are struggling. Developing the skills necessary to help others has been my passion for many years and the more I have grown, the more I have seen the need. I have worked in several settings including inpatient and outpatient settings. I have a keen passion in supporting the helpers who are often overlooked and often lack a safe place to talk openly about their experiences. I believe in the power of connection for healing. In my experience empathy, understanding, and compassion go farther than "fix-its" alone.
