About Me
My work as a therapist is strongly influenced by Humanistic, Feminist, and Liberation Psychology Theory. I am guided by the belief that each human being I encounter possess inherent wisdom through their own lived experiences and identities. From my perspective, the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one, with the client's right to self-determination at the center of our time together. I have training and experience supporting survivors of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, as well as interpersonal violence, religious trauma, and high control groups. Additionally, I have training and experience in supporting individuals in recovery from as well as in active substance use and am supportive both harm reduction and abstinence. I have completed basic and advanced trainings through Postpartum Supports International, and my practice is LGBTQ affirming, sex and body positive. I integrate ego state, attachment theory, and somatic interventions as desired into my EMDR work. In my free time, I can be found spending quality time with my family members (both two and four legged!), reading, practicing Ashtanga Yoga, and spending time in nature.
