Approved for 6 EMDRIA Credits

Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is increasingly understood as a condition maintained by maladaptively stored threat memories, hyper-responsibility cognitions, and shame-based emotion regulation deficits. This one-day intensive workshop synthesizes current neurobiological insights, the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model that supports Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, advanced Exposure and Ritual Prevention (ERP) techniques, and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) methods.

Through a mix of didactic teaching, live demonstrations, dyadic practice, and collaborative consultation, participants will learn to develop integrated treatment plans, sequence EMDR, ERP, and CFT interventions, involve partners and carers to reduce accommodation, and incorporate structured self-care routines.

Presenter: Derek Farrell, Ph.D.
