About Me

As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize the courage it takes in starting the counseling process to face some of our most challenging life experiences. My passion in life is helping support clients on their healing journey, as they find ways for them to thrive again. I work with clients from person-centered, strength-based perspectives, and specialize in helping individuals who have experienced sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse, and/or may struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, and self-esteem related issues. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and completed my graduate training in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University. I have continued training in utilizing Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Mindfulness skills, Mind-body/holistic approaches, and neurobiology of trauma treatment methods. I recognize that each individual I meet with has their own unique needs and wants for therapy based off of their personal life experiences. Therefore, I try to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique wants and needs for their therapeutic process. When I’m not at work, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors; whether it be camping, bonfires, and hiking – I love some quality Pure Michigan time. My current obsessions are listening to Podcasts, decorating and renovating our hundred year old home, buying way too many candles, and wandering farmer’s markets. My husband and I have a little girl, a puppy, and two kitties, and our hearts are filled with so much love for them all. I am so grateful for my job and the amazing people I get to meet, I truly cannot imagine my career being any different than what I am doing now. I thank all my clients so much for trusting me with their story, and I consider it a privilege to be included in their healing journey.
