Approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits
This training held over four days (November 4, 18 & December 2 & 9, 2025) depicts how unique characteristics of pain/ (i.e., unprocessed trauma, somatic discomfort, dissociation, medical diagnosis, health-related trauma and individual personality characteristics) demand a phased, integrative approach involving considerable expansion of psychodynamic, somatic, and hypnotic elements of EMDR together with an integration of the benefits from other treatment modalities (ego state work, Flash technique, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) etc). The training will explore the challenges which lie in accurately assessing the relative health of the patient’s nervous system, the presence of explicit trauma vs. other adversity, and the patient’s readiness for trauma processing (vs resourcing). Because of the sheer number of potential aetiological factors, considerable artistry is necessary in formulating a treatment plan and adapting interventions based on the above approaches to the individual needs of each patient. This training teaches an integrated approach based on EMDR to the treatment of pain/PPS associated with PTSD and/or medical diagnosis.
