Shelley McCaul-Parent, LPC
About Me
Shelley McCaul-Parent, LPC is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, and recovery from toxic relationships. She offers secure telehealth sessions for adults seeking meaningful emotional healing and lasting change. Shelley integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches within a client-centered framework, meeting each person where they are in their healing journey. Her work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, clinical hypnotherapy, and Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS)—a parts-based approach that supports deep emotional repair and internal differentiation. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is passionate about using it to help clients resolve trauma, strengthen resilience, and foster integration. Shelley is committed to providing an inclusive, affirming therapeutic space where clients of all identities—including members of the LGBTQ+ community—feel seen, respected, and supported. Her practice is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story and capacity for growth.
