Alexis Leechford, LCSW
(She/Her)
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 7 years in the field after earning a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree from North Carolina State University. I am passionate about supporting both adults and teens facing challenges such as anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, phobias, stress, self-worth issues, relationship struggles, and more. My goal is to offer a warm, compassionate environment where you can feel supported as we work together to navigate life’s challenges.
Education & Experience
I am trained in a variety of evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) where I am working towards certification, as well as Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I strive to create a non-judgmental, inclusive environment where individuals feel safe to explore their experiences, identify strengths, and focus on healing and personal growth.
