Holding the Infant and the Infinite: Interweaving Attachment-informed and Transpersonal Frameworks into Psychedelic-assisted EMDR Therapy
This article acts as a practical scaffolding, enabling individuals, regardless of their belief systems, to access their own AIP and cultivate culturally sensitive meaning-making capacities, without ideological rigidity or prejudice. PsyA-EMDR does not intend to promote one ideology over another, but establishes a flexible, integrative roadmap that practitioners can draw upon to support individual healing, encouraging individualized meaning-making and promoting cultural sensitivity.
This article describes and enriches a non-dogmatic, secular, soul-centred framework and is designed to support and integrate expanded states of consciousness within contemporary healthcare settings. Rooted in a relational container, it offers a grounded yet flexible way of working with complexity at depth and presents a more expanded practical and theoretical overview of how EMDR therapists can use attachment-informed and transpersonal techniques to deepen and enhance the therapeutic impact of PsyA-EMDR therapy.
