About Me
Through compassion, collaboration, and support, I strive to empower my clients to cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and autonomy. I believe that while therapists bring knowledge and expertise, you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you access your strengths, process challenges, and develop the tools needed to navigate life's experiences with greater confidence and clarity.
I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where questions, feedback, and authenticity are always welcome. Recognizing that each individual comes from a unique background with their own experiences and needs, I tailor the therapeutic process to fit your specific goals and circumstances.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I specialize in working with children ages 11 and older, teens, college students, emerging adults, and adults. As an EMDR therapist, I help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional reactivity, and move toward healing and growth. EMDR can be helpful for individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, panic, negative self-beliefs, attachment wounds, and experiences that continue to feel emotionally charged despite time having passed. I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Art Therapy, and Bibliotherapy to provide individualized, trauma-informed care.
I commonly work with individuals experiencing anxiety, panic, trauma, ADHD, low self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout, codependency, life transitions, and challenges related to college and emerging adulthood. I also support clients in exploring inner-child work, women's issues, and the lasting impact of growing up in alcoholic, dysfunctional, or emotionally challenging family systems (ACOA/COA).
Together, we will identify areas for growth, establish meaningful goals, and develop practical skills that support long-term emotional well-being. Whether you are seeking relief from current struggles or healing from past experiences, I am dedicated to helping you move forward with greater confidence, self-compassion, and hope.
