Course Description

The program will provide EMDR therapists with an understanding of the neurobiology of chronic pain and how chronic pain and many chronic health conditions are syndrome states resulting from the repeated disruption of the body’s systems. Participants will develop an organized framework and comprehensive model of care to treat clients effectively by enhancing their use of the EMDR Pain Protocol and maximizing their use of the Standard/Therapy EMDR Protocol. Participants will learn new nervous system-driven interventions as a part of this framework, all of which complement or build upon the foundational understanding of the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model in this presentation by Gary Brothers, LCSW.
