About Me
Abby is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years working in social work and mental health. Abby primarily works with teens, young adults, adults and couples. Abby specializes in working with clients with anxiety, specifically high/over achievers and clients with perfectionistic tendencies. Abby works with clients who have experienced trauma and has vast experience with clients dealing with medical trauma, chronic illness, suicide and self-harm.
Education & Experience
Abby has a BSW from Ball State University and a MSW from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Abby started her career in hospital case management and has worked with clients from the NICU to the adult ICU's and all populations in between. Over 10 years ago, Abby shifted to focus her work on mental health within the health system providing short term counseling to patients dealing with a chronic illness. Abby transitioned into working with teens and children at her local children's hospital focusing on suicide and self-harming behaviors. Abby transitioned into private practice several years ago focusing on working with teens, adults and couples.
