About Me

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the States of Tennessee and Texas, a Board-Certified Telehealth Professional (BCTP-I), a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapist (EMDR-C) and currently a EMDR Consultant-in-Training. I am a compassionate therapist who is interested in the total well-being of my clients including the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of their lives. I live in Cleveland TN with my husband and enjoy cooking and caring for people. I love to travel around the world and have a multicultural family which is a big part of my life. I believe in the innate potential and capacity of clients to direct the course of their lives and healing. I am passionate about inspiring courage, hope, and change in clients, working with them to build on, and solidify their enduring skills and to develop strategies for producing their desired outcomes in therapy. Understanding the human tendency to succeed better after a successful effort, I help clients recognize and celebrate their “little successes”. I believe that a worthwhile therapist-client relationship should leave such a positive imprint in the minds of my clients that it would make them look back with a sense of fulfillment years after they have stopped being in therapy.

Education & Experience

I have Master's and Doctoral degrees in Counseling and Developmental Psychology respectively and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in in-patient and out-patient settings offering individual, group, couples, and family counseling services as well as served as an Employee Assistant Provider to many organizations over the last two decades.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a member of the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA) and the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association (TLPCA).
