Miss Adriana Smith, M.A., LMHC
Preferred Name: Adriana
About Me
Having grown up in a family with many members serving in our armed forces I hold a special place in my heart for veterans, first responders, and law enforcement. I have seen first hand how a safe, judgement-free space can provide healing to those carrying many versions of traumatic memories.
I am passionate about helping others become better versions of themselves and love celebrating even the smallest milestones on the way to success. I believe that each individual has value, and that includes you! I am excited to work and collaborate with you, to help you experience positive change in your life and relationships.
Education & Experience
I attended Virginia Tech, where I earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in animal science. I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (MH26051) with the state of Florida, and a current member of both the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Florida Counseling Association (FCA). I continue to receive training on the most research-based treatment modalities for individuals and couples.
In addition, I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist specializing in treating complex trauma, dissociation, PTSD, and emotional dysregulation through the use of EMDR therapy – a leading research-based treatment for trauma. I am also a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH 3761) and able to provide both phone and video-based sessions to my clients.
