EMDR Certified Therapist

About Me

I am a Brazilian-American Marriage and Family Therapist who works from the perspective of humans needing attachment to thrive and hold within themselves the power and abilities to solve their problems with nurturing and guidance from a mental health professional. My work is my purpose, and I love what I do. This is a labor of love; each client allows me to learn, serve, and grow. Clients find my collaborative sessions helpful as we follow at their pace and preferred direction. This gives them the confidence to express their thoughts and feelings without feeling pressured or judged. The results then come from clients identifying recurring patterns present in their lives that have contributed to their negative frame of mind. They begin to increase awareness of their strengths, available resources, and worth within interpersonal relationships. This directly translates into positive mindsets, confidence, and long-term improvement in their emotional well-being.

Education & Experience

I obtained my master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2011 and worked with children and families both in an IOP setting, Behavioral School Setting, and Comprehensive Behavioral Health organizations before starting my private practice in 2014, where I focused on helping teens and families overcome traumas, poor relationships, and mood disorders to live better lives. EMDR has been an incredible tool within my profession and I am two months away from certification (expected in September 2023.) Other modalities I offer are CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy
