About Me

I am the owner of reNEW YOU Counseling and Wellness, LLC and a licensed professional counselor specialized in treating children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents/families along this journey. I am specifically specialized in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) used to treat trauma. I have over 13+ years in the field serving youth. I have had the privilege of being extensively trained in my specialty areas and have been able to share this knowledge with clients across various clinical domains. My client-centered, holistic approach guides you to health, wellness, and resiliency by empowering you to use your inner strengths. My life’s work is being a counselor to youth and young adults and serving others to help better serve themselves. I believe in early intervention to help children feel emotionally safe, heard, and validated as early as possible so that they may progress in life knowing that they are special and sacred. I also believe in supporting the family system to understand child development as well as understand how unresolved hurts from the parents’ life can impact parenting style, attachment style, and communication with their own child. The ultimate goal is to break dysfunctional cycles and help the child and family unit prosper in health and wellness. Outside of being a clinician, I am a mother to three beautiful children, I enjoy time spent with my family and friends doing the simple things in life such as cooking, traveling, listening to music, being out in nature, and advocating for the people and issues that I believe in the most!
