About Me
As a therapist, I am holistically-focused in my practice, with the aim of helping individuals & couples explore how past experiences inform current thoughts, beliefs, patterns of behavior and relationship dynamics. I utilize an attachment-based lens and approach therapy with a blend of mindfulness-based practices, parts work, EMDR & somatic approaches to help clients foster self-compassion, self-acceptance, connection, healing and growth. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for my work with couples.
Education & Experience
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. I obtained my Master in Social Work at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, focusing on clinical social work and being trained through an anti-oppressive framework. I’ve since received postgraduate training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems/Parts work, Somatic Experiencing, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and Mindfulness-based practices. Prior to my work in private practice settings, I have 10+ years experiences in various community mental health settings, with specialized focus in serving people in the LGBTQIA+ community. I have extensive experience in trauma work as well as a focus on anxiety, attachment-based challenges and relationship issues.
