About Me

I’m Alexis Honeycutt, LMHC, a Certified Gottman Therapist and EMDRIA Certified Therapist based in Oviedo, Florida. My work is grounded in evidence-based care and focused on helping people move through trauma, emotional distress, and relationship pain with greater clarity, steadiness, and meaningful change.

I specialize in couples therapy, betrayal recovery, and trauma-focused work. In addition to supporting couples through conflict, disconnection, and repair, I also work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional distress, trauma, and major life adjustment. My approach is warm, direct, and structured. I aim to create a space that feels both compassionate and productive, where insight can turn into real progress.

I maintain a private practice through Oviedo Therapy & Relationships in Oviedo, Florida, and also provide virtual services in Florida, Connecticut, and North Carolina. I am passionate about continued education and staying current with the research that supports lasting therapeutic change.

My clinical work has focused heavily on Marriage and Family Counseling, couples therapy, trauma, emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and life adjustment.
