Education & Experience
I have more than 25 years of clinical practice in the public and private sector. I have extensive experience working with children, adults, families and immigrant populations dealing with diverse mental health and adjustment struggles. I obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology in my native country Colombia. I did my thesis work studying the self concept of epileptic adults. Then, I migrated to Canada where I did a master's degree and my thesis work studying physical contact in the interaction of families with aggressive boys. After that, I did a doctoral degree in psychology and a research work exploring refugee children's psychological needs through storytelling therapy.
