Allison Dooley, M.A., LPC, REAT
About Me
As a holistic therapist in Oak Point, Texas, I enjoy helping women find the courage to face life's challenges through a creative and holistic approach that supports the mind, body, and spirit.
Education & Experience
As a bilingual counselor, educator, and musician, I have over ten years of experience working with children, families, and adults across various settings in the United States and internationally. My journey began with a degree in Music Education from Dallas Baptist University in 2013, followed by three years as an elementary music educator in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2016, I moved to Guatemala to support young girls in a children’s home who had experienced trauma and abuse. During my four years there, I developed specialized skills in helping traumatized individuals heal through music and art. This transformative experience inspired me to pursue a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have continued to refine my therapy skills while working at a Texas Children’s Advocacy Center for four years.
My training and certifications include:
-EMDR Certification (100+ hours of advanced training)
-Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT)
-Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
-Internal Family Systems (Parts work)
