Allison Crandall, MSW, LCSW
(she/her)
Preferred Name: Allison
About Me
I have been a licensed clinical social worker in the South Florida area since 2014. I own my private practice in Broward County; currently only accepting virtual clients. I believe in a collaborative, client-centered, and strength's-based mindset to therapy. I am solution focused, validating, and empathic in my approach. I love the rapid and lasting results EMDR has given my clients. I have advanced training in Ego States (inner child parts work) and dissociation. I have been trained in EMDR 2.0, which enhances and shortens the time it takes to reprocess very intense traumas. Please my website to book directly: www.allisonlcsw.com
Education & Experience
I attained my undergraduate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Science in 2010, with a major in psychology and minor in substance abuse studies. I furthered my education at New York University's Silver School of Social Work. My focus in my graduate studies were children, high risk populations, family therapy, and trauma.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I have always wanted to help others and am dedicated to each and every one of my clients. I began my journey at 16 by starting as a Big Sister, a part of the Big Brothers program and volunteering at Gilda's Club, an organization dedicated to those affected by cancer. I have worked in a variety of settings, such as schools, dual diagnosis centers, community mental health organizations, legally mandated facilities, and inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers.
