About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences to bring them to a resolution. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) which is the idea that every part of you has good intention, and every part has value. I use components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is a treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which combines strategies like mindfulness, acceptance, and emotion regulation learning how to live in the moment and improve relationships. I have worked for 15 years as a social worker assisting adults, youth and families to find and fill in the missing pieces of their lives. There is no greater joy to me, than when a person begins putting pieces together, connecting the dots, and has that “ah-ha” moment when even the seemingly, ugliest piece makes the picture of your life stable and beautiful.
