About Me

Amanda L. Bennett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of South Carolina and West Virginia. Amanda attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate studies, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish in 2008. After returning to South Florida and working as a legal assistant, Amanda decided to return to her passion for studying the human brain, behavior, relationships, and psychotherapy. She next attended Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2014, with specific concentrations in Mental Health Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling. Amanda has a passion for empowering people. Her philosophy of clinical treatment is based on a belief that all individuals have an innate ability to heal emotionally, which can be accessed via therapeutic treatments and supported by holistic practices and healthy community engagement. Amanda always strives to provide excellent and compassionate care, with the aim of stimulating clients’ personal growth and promoting long-term recovery, resiliency, and wellness self-management. Whether a client’s treatment focus is on mental / behavioral health or an addiction, Amanda particularly enjoys focusing on supporting and encouraging the individuals she works with to set themselves up for success.
