Mrs. Amy Beth Halverson, LMFT

About Me
I believe that we are all capable of change and hold resiliency within us. I have built my therapy practice around the idea that within the therapeutic relationship we can work together to heal the hurts, strengthen your giftedness, and build a life around the values that encompass who you are.
Often our past wounds feel like they pull us back from reaching those goals. I am passionate about using research based therapies like EMDR therapy and Anchored Relational therapy (formerly known as AIR Network) in my practice.
Amy is an EMDR and Anchored Relational therapist. She has been working in the field for 12+ years. She has always had a passion for working with trauma.
Early in her career, Amy volunteered to advocate for survivors of sexual assault and trained in play therapy to work with children and adolescence. While earning her license she worked for Lutheran Social Services providing in-home and school base services. After moving to the northwest metro, she continued working with children, adolescents, adults and couples at Northwinds Counseling Services in Rogers MN. There she was trained in EMDR and Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly known as AIR network). She continues her passion, working with high anxiety, complex trauma, and dissociation.
Education & Experience
Amy received her Bachelor of Science at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato and finished her Master of Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She earned her License in Marriage and Family Therapy through the State of MN in 2014.
