About Me
Hello! I started the Center for EMDR and Trauma Therapy 3 years ago out of a deep desire to create for those who have been impacted by trauma (any form) a safe and supportive environment. Trauma looks different for everyone and it influences each of us differently. Maybe you’re noticing patterns in your relationships, struggling to connect emotionally or being easily triggered by everyday things. It could be showing up like anxiety, depression, or PTSD, with flashbacks or nightmares and difficulty functioning in day-to-day life. Our center specializes in helping people break free of the experiences holding them back from living a fulfilling and joyful life. *Please note that while I, personally, am not accepting new clients at this time, you can still reach out to get scheduled with another therapist at our practice who will be a great fit for your needs.
Education & Experience
I have an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education from Washtenaw Community College, A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from the same school. My internship and first job was at a sexual assault center where I worked as a therapist for child and adult survivors of sexual abuse and assault. My later years of experience in the field consists of time in both solo private practice and group private practice, before opening the Center for EMDR and Trauma Therapy in March of 2020. I have been trained in EMDR therapy since 2012.
