About Me

I am a wife, mother, therapist. I enjoy being outdoors, but enjoy the porch swing with my husband more than a hike. I love live music. I enjoy playing and spending time with the kids and furbabes.

Education & Experience

I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Tusculum College (University) in 2004. I graduated with an MA in Counseling from Oakland University in 2008. I have a history in working with justice involved clients, kids, adult, community agency and also private clients. I was trained in EMDR in 2017 and became a certified EMDRIA therapist and then an EMDRIA Approved Consultant by 2022. I love working with therapists on becoming certified in EMDR or even just being more confident in their EMDR practice.

My EMDR training has spanned traditional EMDR Institute taught EMDR, the FLASH technique, and the Recent Traumatic Events Protocol (R-TEP), the PRECI as well as regular trainings at conferences on various topics like AAI, dissociation and complex trauma. I also have had formal trainings in CPT, PE, DBT, and CBT. I very much appreciate mindfulness and polyvagal theory.

I have made a niche working mostly with birth trauma, first responders, healthcare providers, veterans, childhood trauma, betrayal trauma and CPTSD. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals.

I actively see clients in a local non-profit in NE TN and also see some private clients virtually during non-traditional hours.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am currently a Facilitator-in-Training through the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) where I will be able to provide free facilitating/training to people who serve folks who could benefit from EMDR.

I also enjoy Volunteering with the kids ministry at my church, and I sing in the choir.
