About Me
I decided to pursue counseling as a career because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people's daily lives. I use an eclectic mix of family systems theory, solutions focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Christian counseling, and EMDR which is customized according to the needs and values of each client. Most of my work is with individual adults, but I also enjoy helping families resolve intergenerational and adult sibling conflicts.
Education & Experience
Masters in Behavioral Health, Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Houston-Clear Lake, Texas 2007. I have worked in both agencies and private practice with clients of varying cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Licensed in DC, VA, TX. Approved telehealth provider in FL.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I offer periodic psychoeducational, therapeutic, and EMDR workshops in collaboration with Waterfront Church DC.
