Ann Capulin-Thayer, MA, LPC, NCC

About Me

Ann is passionate about working with individuals suffering with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences and difficult life transitions. Ann values truly listening to clients and helping them feel understood. She helps clients understand their past, their desired future, and explores what is/is not working in the present, while considering the client’s personal, relational, and cultural influences. Because Ann believes in addressing the root or source of clients’ struggles, she utilizes EMDR Therapy in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches as is fitting.

Education & Experience

Ann completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University where she graduated with honors of Summa Cum Laude. She works with adults, adolescents and couples, and has worked with groups in outpatient settings, along with court-mandated clients recovering from substance abuse.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Ann has active membership with the American Counseling Association and is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
