About Me

How I Use EMDR Therapy I use EMDR therapy as part of a thoughtful, relational, and trauma-informed approach to treatment. EMDR helps clients process distressing experiences that continue to affect the present—often showing up as anxiety, emotional reactivity, intrusive thoughts, avoidance, or a sense of being stuck. In our work together, EMDR is used to support the nervous system in reprocessing memories, beliefs, and body responses that were overwhelming at the time they occurred. Rather than retelling trauma in detail, EMDR allows the brain and body to integrate experiences in a way that reduces emotional charge and increases a sense of safety, clarity, and choice. I integrate EMDR at a pace that respects each client’s readiness, stability, and internal resources. Preparation, grounding, and regulation are prioritized so clients feel supported throughout the process. EMDR may be used to address single-incident trauma, developmental or relational trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, phobias, and patterns rooted in earlier experiences. EMDR is not always a standalone technique in my work, but part of a broader therapeutic process that includes relational attunement, nervous system awareness, and meaning-making—supporting lasting change rather than symptom management alone. After completing my masters, I have taken advance classes with Dr. Gerald Epstein and Gabor Mate to further and deepen my understanding of the human psyche. I continue to broaden and widen my self and love working with people and guiding them to a more fulfilling life experience.
