About Me

Anu is a seasoned psychotherapist that has severed different roles in the mental health & treatment industry since 2010. She has experience working in various treatment settings including hospitals, residential treatment, mental health clinics, and intensive/partial outpatient programming. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Anu provides services to adolescents, adults, and couples. Her areas of expertise are trauma, addiction, and mental health. With a strong background in dual diagnoses, Anu also specializes in a diverse range of issues, such as eating disorders, anger/rage, OCD, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationships, love addiction, and personality disorders. Anu uses an eclectic approach that focuses on the mind-body-spirit connection, while also integrating evidenced-based treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Post Induction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, Anu incorporates mindfulness-based practices and expressive therapy techniques for clients that benefit from alternative ways of processing.

Education & Experience

Anu earned her B.S. in Psychology from Suffolk University, followed by a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from William James College. She has had the privilege of working for some renowned organizations, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, and Meadows Behavioral Healthcare. Her vast experience led her to serve as the Assistant Clinical Director at Meadows Malibu prior to venturing into private practice.
