About Me

Anu Malik is a seasoned Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than a decade of experience across hospital, residential, and outpatient settings. Her extensive clinical background has allowed her to work with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, substance use disorders, compulsive behaviors, relational difficulties, and complex mood, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental presentations. This breadth of experience allows her to approach EMDR therapy with an understanding of the whole person, particularly when symptoms are layered, longstanding, or interconnected.
Anu specializes in trauma and the ways unresolved experiences can affect emotional regulation, relationships, self-concept, behavior, and overall functioning. She has significant experience working with substance use disorders and understands the complex relationship between trauma, addiction, shame, coping, attachment, and relapse patterns. She also works with concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, perfectionism, codependency, attachment wounds, eating disorders, and other compulsive or addictive patterns.

As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate, Anu has additional specialized training in compulsive sexual behavior, pornography and sexual addiction, betrayal trauma, intimacy, and sexuality. This work has further strengthened her ability to support clients navigating shame, secrecy, relationship ruptures, attachment injuries, and the emotional impact of betrayal.

Anu’s approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and individualized. In addition to EMDR, she draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and expressive practices.
