About Me
Ashley Nitija McWilliams, LPC is a Licensed Professional counselor in the state of Pennsylavania. Ashley has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field assisting others in their healing journey. Ashley has eclectic person-centered mind-body approach to treatment. Her intention is to provide and open, supportive, and compassionate healing space to assist others in rising up and evolving in their strengths and resilience. Ashley's work is her passion in life and it shows in the counseling experience of her clients. Ashley has been an avid daily practitioner of mind-body based practices for the past 24 years including mindfulness meditation and yoga. In her free time, Ashley enjoys biking, walking outdoors, traveling, kayaking, reading, and spending time with loved ones. Ashley continues to grow in herself and her practice with daily dedication to the practices of yoga, meditation, and time in nature. Ashley looks forward to meeting, connecting, and supporting you on your healing path.
Education & Experience
Ashley has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master's degrees in Clinical Psychology. Ashley graduated with Honors in Psychology and was a member of Psi Chi the National Honor's Society for Psychology. In addition to being certified in EMDR, Ashley has certifications in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Telehealth. Ashley is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and combines somatic psychology as needed. Ashley has offered many trainings and community presentations on trauma informed care to professionals in the field, organizations, and medical professionals. Ashley has conducted classes, courses, and presentations in her community on mindfulness, stress management, relaxation training, mindful eating, trauma, trauma informed yoga, and general wellness.
