About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 4 years of experience providing therapy in a community mental health setting. My experience in community mental health has allowed me to work with a variety of people ranging in age from young children through our older adult population, as well as with many types of different cultural and religious backgrounds. I have been formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which encompasses the importance of our thoughts and how they influence our feelings and behaviors and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a trauma-informed approach. Theoretical orientations I tend to rely on are CBT and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). However, once I was formally trained in EMDR, I feel this was the last piece of the puzzle to help people truly experience more inner peace and potential healing related to trauma history. I am passionate about building a genuine, unconditional, and non-judgmental rapport with my clients. It is important to me to hold a safe space for people to let their guard down in efforts to start their healing journey through therapy. While in this journey with you, you are the one leading the way and I am there to walk the path with you as support.
