About Me
* Not accepting new clients until 8/2026 *
As an EMDR therapist, I view healing as a process of helping your nervous system and mind fully process experiences that may feel “stuck.” Trauma isn’t just what happened - it’s how those experiences continue to live in the body, emotions, and beliefs about ourselves. EMDR is a powerful tool because it helps stuck experiences move, often bringing relief that talk therapy alone may not have been able to fully reach.
My approach to EMDR is steady and collaborative. We don’t jump straight into the hard stuff! I take time to really get to know you, build resources, and make sure you feel supported before we begin deeper processing. You’re not a problem to be fixed; your nervous system adapted in ways that just made sense at the time. EMDR helps those protective patterns soften, so you can respond to the present instead of reacting from the past.
I have specialized experience using EMDR with pregnancy and postpartum experiences, including pregnancy loss (stillbirth, infant loss, TFMR, and abortion) and births that felt traumatic or unexpected.
Sessions are tailored to your needs. EMDR can be integrated into ongoing therapy, or we may focus more intentionally on specific memories, themes, or concerns. The goal is the same: helping the past feel less overwhelming and giving you more freedom in the present.
