Ms. Becky Romero, LMHC, NCC, QS
(she/her)
Preferred Name: Becky
About Me
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and have been living in Florida for 20 years. I have spent the last 10 years helping people in different settings that include inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health counseling, group therapy, and spent over a year providing supportive counseling to families with an infant in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Private practice has allowed me to focus more on working with adults experiencing depression and anxiety related to unresolved attachment wounds and past trauma.
Education & Experience
I graduated with a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from Nova Southeastern University. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2016 and received EMDR training in 2018. I also became a National Certified Counselor in 2018 that was administered by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. In 2019, I became a qualified supervisor who can supervise registered mental health counseling interns. I am actively working towards EMDR Certification.
