About Me
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Arizona and North Carolina, and the founder of Brave Heart Therapy. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. I specialize in working with individual adults (18+) navigating trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, anxiety and depressive disorders, mood disorders, and life transitions.
I am a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist as of September 1, 2023. I also have training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Structural Dissociation Theory, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I integrate based on each client’s needs.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and multimodal—meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based methods to support clients in uncovering the roots of their distress and finding meaningful relief.
As a therapist, my goal is not just to do something for you—but to be something for you: grounded, present, compassionate, and real. I’m warm and down-to-earth, but also direct. I believe in holding space and also holding you accountable—because that’s how real change happens. My aim is to create a safe, accepting space where you can show up fully, feel supported, and begin to challenge and rewrite any self-defeating narratives that no longer serve you.
