Education & Experience
I began my career as a community worker/ social worker in Liverpool completing an MA at Liverpool University UK and went on to do my psychotherapy training at Birmingham University UK. I worked as a therapist originally within the NHS at the Adult Psychology Service and subsequently for the Psychosexual service specialising in working with Sexual Abuse, Sexuality and identity and trauma. I came to EMDR as a result of this work and completed the full training in the UK. I also worked as Psychotherapist for the police affiliate network and Worcester Therapy Group using EMDR and Psychodynamic techniques to work with attachment issues, relational issues and trauma. When I developed my private practice in Worcester UK I became a psychoanalytic supervisor and began to work towards EMDR Consultancy. I also completed the attachment informed EMDR training with EMDR Focus in the UK. Post Consultants Accreditation my private practice now has two focal strands. The first is on providing long term and short term therapy to self referred clients using Standard Protocol and Attachment informed EMDR, IFS and Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic methods. The second is on providing Psychoanalytic Clinical Supervision and EMDR Consultancy to Supervisees from varied settings and backgrounds.
