About Me

Hi there, I am Bobbi Ebsen! I would like to introduce myself. I invest a lot into my clients and practice. I have invested in the gold standard of training for therapists by completing my EMDR training through the EMDR institute! I am also certified as a Wilderness First Responder, as I love the outdoors and have experienced the profound healing effects of being in nature. I dedicate 1 day a week to doing "sitting on the earth" or mini-vision quests, because I enjoy doing them, the healing effects are profound and it helps me be a better therapist for you. I also attend sweat lodges and am learning from Medicine women and men, about tools from the path along the red road, to help the world be a kinder, gentler, more loving place. I also work with one of the top psychotherapists in the nation as my consultant, who specializes in men's issues. It has been great learning how to heal my own masculine side, dissipate the toxic masculinity in our culture, and bring in healthy masculine energy. It has empowered the feminine by doing this, and I love to work with women to empower the feminine. I also focus on quality of care vs. quantity.....I enjoy working with a smaller caseload so I can empower you, and put as much into you as possible and not be distracted by.....the 10 therapists I have working for me. It's all about you, and treating you, which includes talking to me directly, having access to text and call me if needed, scheduling through me, everything is done directly through me, there is no assistant, you work exclusively with me. A little about me: I came from poverty, violence and alcoholism, as a 4th generation on a farm on the Nebraska-Kansas border. I went to a 1-room school until the 7th grade, graduated in a high school class of 65-ish students. I took a huge risk at 19 years old and left to try and make it and I got a job, put myself through college, graduated in Honors, joined the Peace Corps, backpacked through South America (in my 20s) for 6 months, lived on South Beach in Miami, Florida for 2 years, and then was given a scholarship to come to the University of Michigan. I really have learned to love Michigan and I stayed. These are the things that make me different and why I am a private pay practice, my rates are on my website because I believe in being open, honest & transparent. I want to give you all of the tools I have picked up along my journey so you can transform your life into something amazing! Call today: 734-223-6014
