About Me
I am a registered psychotherapist who provides individual, couple and family therapy in my private practice in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and online. Over the years of her practice, I have helped many clients with a variety of issues and challenges, including depression, anxiety, excessive anger, grief, trauma, self-esteem issues, life transitions, relationship problems, and addiction-related issues. I provide a wide range of treatment services including cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), mindfulness-based stress reduction, solution-focused brief therapy and emotion focused therapy (EFT). I frequently incorporate elements of dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), i.e., mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness into my work with clients. I have recently completed EMDR training and have integrated it into my therapy practice with numerous clients, achieving remarkable success.
Education & Experience
With my Master’s Degree in Psychology, more than 30 years of clinical experience and extensive professional training in multiple areas related to psychotherapy, I offer solid theoretical knowledge, a broad spectrum of skills and an ability to form a strong and positive therapeutic relationship with my clients.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I offer counselling and psychotherapy in an independent practice, as well as Supervised Psychological Counselling under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist for clients of Dr Dalton & Associates in Ontario, Canada.
