About Me
She received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2018. Her therapeutic background has included people of all ages and backgrounds from children, at-risk-youth, adolescents, teens, adults and geriatric population. She also has a background in working with substance use recovery as well as dual diagnosis in intensive outpatient treatment. Her treatment background includes working with borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, anxiety, major depression, sexual abuse survivors, and bipolar I & II disorders. A Buddhist practioner and yogi for 20+ years, Brenda incorporates mindfulness skills and meditation as part of her treatment. Brenda has led groups in guided meditation and mindfulness based art therapy. She offers EMDR intensives of 90 minutes and half-day sessions. She is only available for virtual via phone or video sessions. Brenda enjoys spending time with her family, her pets, hiking, gardening, being outdoors, traveling (pre-pandemic), and playing classical piano. She is also an avid reader, musician, and composes music.
