About Me
Hello! I’m Brooke Yingling, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma/PTSD and eating disorders in Colorado. I grew up in a military family and spent time living across the country and around the world, which shaped my appreciation for people from many different backgrounds. I’ve always been a lifelong learner, and I bring that curiosity and openness into my work. My approach is warm, empathetic, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can show up exactly as they are.
I find EMDR Therapy to be a powerful way to help people heal from experiences that were overwhelming at the time and still affect how they think, feel, and react. EMDR allows clients to reprocess these memories in a way that reduces emotional intensity and shifts long‑held beliefs, creating more room for relief, clarity, and self‑compassion. I’ve seen clients move from feeling triggered and overwhelmed to feeling grounded, empowered, and more connected to themselves.
I also incorporate parts‑work and am IFS‑informed, helping clients understand and care for different parts of themselves with compassion. Alongside EMDR and IFS, I draw from CBT, DBT, and Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy to support emotional regulation, insight, and practical skill‑building.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 11 years in education as a teacher and earned my Master’s in Education from the University of Massachusetts. I later transitioned into the mental health field, working with individuals experiencing eating disorders in an inpatient setting, and completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. Across all of these roles, I’ve seen how meaningful and transformative therapy can be, and I remain committed to supporting clients through deep, lasting change.
