About Me

My approach to therapy is integrative and grounded in psychodynamic theory. I draw from various other evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. I am a trauma-informed psychologist and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). I have extensive experience working with adults who have experienced various forms of trauma in their lives. I also provide a safe and affirming environment for LGBTQIA+ and gender non-conforming individuals. I am honored to join you as a partner as you explore you inner most thoughts and feelings, share your story, make meaning of your experiences, and practice new ways of being and relating. In our work together you can expect me to bring warmth, authenticity, openness, flexibility and the ability to laugh with you to the session. We will create a space for your whole self to show up and allow you to reconnect and reclaim your inner strengths and wisdom. We will focus on helping you come to know yourself more deeply in order to reduce your distress, improve your relationships, and gain insight into your current struggles. At the heart of my clinical practice is the creation of a safe and trusting relationship with each individual client. I believe that when the therapeutic relationship is strong and grounded in honesty, acceptance, empathy, and compassion, people are better able to explore difficult emotions, gain insights into unhealthy patterns, and develop the skills to move forward to make meaningful and lasting change. If you are ready to take the next step, reach out. We can do this together.
