About Me

I enjoy helping individuals of all backgrounds unlock their potential for self-healing through the use of EMDR, mindfulness, somatic integration and a variety of creative modalities. I believe the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance in facilitating a safe container in which growth and transformation can occur and creating a foundation of safety in this relationship is key. I approach my work with individuals and families with compassion, non-judgment, curiosity and a holistic perspective. I continue to walk my own path of growth, recovery and healing and have faced and walked through a variety of personal mental health struggles, from which I draw compassion and understanding to work with others. I believe all humans have basic kindness, goodness and wisdom and I am inspired daily by walking alongside my fellow humans as we unlock these innate gifts of humanity together.

Education & Experience

I obtained my Bachelor's of Social Work and Master's of Clinical Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana in 2008 and 2010 respectively. I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana since 2012, working in a variety of settings including community mental health, child services, community based support for individuals with neurodivergence and developmental disabilities, inpatient trauma focused addiction treatment and private practice. In addition to being certified in EMDR, I am certified in Solution Based Casework and have training and experience with Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and ego-state interventions/parts work (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy, IFS-informed).
