About Me

Carolina Robbins, LCSW earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida State University. Not fully satisfied with working with individuals in an educational setting, she returned to graduate school and earned a Masters in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Following her two-year post graduate degree, Carolina completed state requirements and became a licensed psychotherapist through the state of Florida and North Carolina. She also completed one year of a doctoral program researching maternal anxiety and subjective well-being. Through the Postpartum Support International Carolina obtained special training by completing the certificate program in perinatal mental health in 2020 earning her PMH-C. In 2021 she received EMDR training and completed all requirements to become an EMDR Certified Therapist in 2022. Carolina offers experience working with women, adults and families. Through her experiences she has held positions with in local social service programs, inpatient treatment centers, hospital settings, and outpatient programs. Her professional experience has helped individuals and/or families affected by mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. During her professional career Carolina has treated issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse disorders and specializes in perinatal mental health. She draws from many evidenced-based treatment modalities to effectively address issues that bring someone into therapeutic services. She relocated to triangle area in 2018. She lives locally with her husband and two children. Carolina enjoys being outdoors, crafting, party planning, cooking, and reading.
