About Me
I provide therapy-forward, integrative psychiatric care for adults who feel burned out, stuck, or quietly hopeless, even when life looks “fine” from the outside. My work is trauma-informed and especially welcoming to LGBTQ+ clients and people healing from spiritual or religious harm, including survivors of SOGICE experiences. In EMDR work, we move at a safe pace, build strong stabilization skills first, and focus on changes meant to last, not short-term symptom suppression.
Education & Experience
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with an MSN in Nursing Education, currently completing PhD training at Wayne State University focused on SOGICE harms and survivor meaning-making. My clinical background includes years in EMS and emergency medicine, including emergency department nursing and educator roles, which shaped a calm, structured approach to complex presentations and high-acuity risk. My psychotherapy training includes EMDR basic training (EMDRIA), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 2, ACT training, and IFIO. I integrate EMDR with parts-informed work and values-based skill building when helpful, and I also provide thoughtful medication support when it supports treatment goals.
