Education & Experience
Psychology was my third major, after switching from education and nursing, and it was an instant connection! I fell in love with the field and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University (YSU). Shortly after, I pursued my Master’s degree and graduated with all A’s with my Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from YSU. In my the clinical mental health counseling program, I specialized in children and adolescents and completed my internship at a counseling center that treats clients from birth to 21 years of age and loved it. Psychology and mental health seemed to be my calling!
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
In June 2024, I received EMDR training and completed the necessary hours to be trained. I use EMDR in my practice daily. I was trained in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International in January 2025. In addition, I worked with multiple professors in research in both my undergrad and masters programs, with a publication in the Journal of Counselor Practice titled "K-5 School Counselors’ Use and Perception of Educational Apps for Students with Disabilities"
