About Me
My name is Cayce Brewer, and I reside in Clarksville, Tennessee, in close proximity to Fort Campbell. My mission revolves around delivering top-tier mental health services to military veterans from all eras, active-duty personnel, first responders, and their families in overcoming the unique challenges that arise from service-related and line-of-duty traumatic experiences, as well as the compounding effects of adverse life experiences. My areas of expertise encompass complex trauma/PTSD, grief, moral injury, guilt, shame, effects from TBIs, dissociation, generational trauma, and marriage/relationships and family issues. My role is to join forces with you and your family, crafting strategic plans to heal trauma, repair moral injury, prevent suicide, and ultimately restore relationships and overall quality of life. I'd be honored for us to work together.
Education & Experience
MAEd Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from WKU (2011-2014); Ph.D. (candidate) Clinical Counseling: Teaching and Supervision Marriage and Family Therapy Cognate (2018-current). With more than a decade of experience in practice, I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and am actively pursuing a PhD in Clinical Counseling: Teaching and Supervision specializing in Marriage and Family Systems. In my commitment to better serve our service members and their families, I received valuable mentorship and training from a clinician who was also a veteran, specializing in the provision of EMDR therapy to this unique population. Under the guidance of other experts in my field committed to serving service members, I have earned certification as an EMDR Certified Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I also bring nearly a decade of dedicated practice in EMDR therapy, specifically tailored to this population and others affected by complex PTSD and dissociative disorders.
