About Me
I come from an extensive background in Health Emergencies, with experience in acute and chronic trauma, complex trauma, victimized populations, such as first responders, disaster mitigation, post traumatic stress disorder. I work with all age ranges.
Education & Experience
EMDR training with Julie Rosen, EMDRIA certified instructor. 30 plus years of experience practicing as a psychotherapist in Brazil, where I graduated from the University of Sao Paulo, with a degree in Medicine(MD) and a PhD in Mental Health, specialized in the management of acutely violent patients in the ER. My training in Psychotherapy started during my Residency in Clinical Psychiatry, further being complemented with a training in Analytical Psychology (Jungian Approach). I don't practice as an MD in the USA, I obtained my LCPC (Clinical Professional Counselor) license to work here and since then I have been dedicating to deepening my knowledge of trauma with EMDR training and consultation.
