About Me
Christy Samms is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) who seeks to help clients of all ages find emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. She uses a holistic, Biblical, trauma-informed approach to assist clients in increasing awareness of underlying causes to current functioning. She works with clients to develop treatment plans based upon their unique goals. She offers day and evening appointments in a convenient, accessible location in Amherst, Ohio. Christy works with adults, couples, and families on topics including depression and mood-related disorders, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, conflict, communication, grief/loss, life transitions, trauma recovery, spiritual concerns, ministry dynamics, church-related issues, relationship difficulties, work-related problems, divorce recovery, career counseling and assessment, stress management, marriage counseling, and family counseling. She specializes in Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR for Trauma treatment.
