About Me
Dale lives and practices clinical healing in a rural setting, connected to the land and seasons. He incorporates mindfulness, meditation, yoga, breathwork and holistic approaches to wellness. He is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and appreciates sharing the powerful tools that Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offers, along with EMDR therapy, Parts Work (Internal Family Systems), and Empowerment. He supports 12-Step, Smart Recovery, and Recovery Dharma growth work.
Dale enjoys working with people from all walks of life including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and family systems. His approach to therapy is eclectic and person centered with grounding in Humanistic psychology and a collaborative style.
Education & Experience
Dale earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Honors, minoring in Statistics, and completed Clinical Mental Health Counseling coursework at Cleveland State University. To finalize his collegiate training, Dale obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Wayne State University, completing their Graduate Certificate in Addiction, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies program in parallel. He holds both Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) endorsements from the Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). Dale is currently working toward trauma therapy certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
