About Me
Danielle (“Dani”) Thomassy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addiction Professional, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, as well as a Qualified Supervisor of clinical social work interns in Florida. Dani has extensive experience working with complex trauma and PTSD, dissociative and personality disorders, developmental immaturity, anxiety and depressive disorders, relationship challenges, family and couples dynamics, and life transitions. Her clinical approach is grounded in empathy, honesty, and a focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of emotional, physical, and physiological distress. She is known for her direct yet compassionate therapeutic style and her ability to build strong, trusting rapport with clients. Dani has advanced training in EMDR and is EMDRIA Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), with a focus on helping clients reprocess distressing memories, internal narratives, and somatic responses associated with trauma. In addition, Dani is formally trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Lastly, Dani brings specialized training in working with high performance individuals and athletes with a focus on improving performance and mental skills under pressure.
Education & Experience
Dani Thomassy earned her Master of Social Work degree from Florida Atlantic University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University.
