I am a Licenseed Professional Counselor and EMDR Trauma therapist. I was EMDRIA certified on 7/2022. I also am an adjunct professor at Multnomah University for their Certificat program and in the Masters of Arts in Counseling program. I have been working with treating PTSD, and other trauma and stress related issues since 2011 at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Pittsburgh PA and in Portland OR. My approach for EMDR is with a Somatic and Attachment focus. I believe it's important to address the physiological responses that accompany trauma as well as the emotional responses and will at times incorporate Somatic Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques, as well as Mindfulness-based Therapy,
Education & Experience
I earned two masters, MA in Counseling and MA in Pastoral Ministry (2011) I worked at the Department of Veteran Affairs from 2011 to 2016 mainly treating Veterans with PTSD diagnoses. I completed the Clinical Pastoral Education Program at the VA which allows me to address spirituality if you so desire. I worked at Cascadia with SPMI residential clients and have 4 years experience with Community Mental Health Adult Outpatients at LifeWorks NW. I now have a telehealth private practice focusing on trauma and stress related issues.
